20072008 - Entrepreneurs and Mission with Bill Bolton
It wasn't exactly planned as a tour but it is rapidly turning into one! Bill Bolton's inspirational thinking on entrepreneurship as it relates to mission has sparked our thinking so we are working to get Bill round the country talking about it, hoping it might catalyse some entrepreneurial activity whether in spiritual, social or economic areas (or any combination). We also reckon things happen when entrepreneurs and enablers start meeting together!
Bill Bolton leads the field on thinking about entrepreneurial talent. He has been closely involved in the 'Cambridge Phenomenon' - he set upSubverting the St. John's Innovation Centre which now has an international reputation for generating new businesses and nurturing entrepreneurial talent; it helped to launch 3 businesses a week for 11 years. He has written three books, and has developed an entrepreneur evaluation tool that identifies people’s entrepreneurEmpire potential and also that of entrepreneur enablers. While his background is in business, he sees entrepreneurs as working with three kinds of capital – economic, social, and spiritual.Brian HeWalsh has also recently written a grove booklet on entrepreneurs and the church.
